Material Master Data Load Approach

The MATMAS IDOC (Intermediate Document) is used for uploading Material Master data in SAP. The MATMAS IDOC consists of several segments that represent different aspects of the material master data. Here are some of the important segments in the MATMAS IDOC:

  • E1MARCM – Material classification data segment: This segment contains additional classification data for the material such as external and internal characteristic values.
  • E1MARDM – Master material warehouse/batch segment (MARD)

  • E1MVKEM – Material sales segment: This segment contains sales-related data such as sales organization, distribution channel, and sales unit.
  • E1MLANM – Master material tax classification (MLAN)

Load 4 – MBEW – Finance Data in 4th Go..

  • E1MBEWM – Master material valuation (MBEW)

Load 5 – MLGN – Warehouse Data in 5th Go.

  • E1MLGNM – Master material data per warehouse number (MLGN)
